Wednesday, Nov 11th is Veterans Day and we'd like to help you get out and celebrate the day in service of our troops and family!
- Patrick Ranch Museum will be showcasing the "Early Aviation History of Butte County" starting at 7pm. This educational performance is free for the whole family.
- Chico Elks Lodge is holding a Veterans Day program starting at 11am. Doors open at 9:30 and the Chico Community Band will begin performing at 10:30. Lunch will be free and includes bean and franks, coffee, and cold drinks. Veterans groups will display memorabilia and historical artifacts at tables arranged around the hall.
- From 9am to noon, the Veterans Garden Project has free vegetable and plant starts for the community. Snacks and drinks provided, too!
- Fans of comedy might enjoy a night of laughs with Ralphie May at the El Rey Theater (take a veteran with you, of course).
If you're looking for something to do tonight, choral groups and soloists will perform at Chico High's Williams Theater from 7:30pm to 8:30. It's free to veterans and only $5 for the public.
The day after Veterans Day, Butte College Veterans Resource Center will hold an exhibition including free lunch, military vehicle shows, and information booths, plus a special cake cutting ceremony to honor the troops. It goes from 11am to 2pm and will be held on the center lawn.
